Deepak Punia's foreign coach sacked for assaulting match referee

Officials in the Indian contingent in Tokyo have been left embarrassed after the men’s 86kg freestyle wrestler Deepak Punia’s foreign coach Murad Gaidarov, from Russia, “misbehaved, assaulted and yelled” at match referee Sergie Kovalenko from Russia, who had officiated in the bronze medal repechage bout which the Haryana grappler lost (3-2) to San Marino’s Myles Nazim Amine on Thursday evening.
