Former India opener Chetan Chauhan falls to Covid after grim battle

Chetan Chauhan, a serving Cabinet minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, had contracted the virus on July 12. He is survived by his wife and son. "He was put on a ventilator on Saturday as his condition worsened. He succumbed to the infection. His sample tested negative on August 12 but was found positive the next day," said a source from the hospital.
